Impactors

For individuals

Impactors are people taking small, everyday actions that add up to real impact. The app is free, and the impact is funded by advertisers, not by you.

How it works

Four things, one loop. A few minutes a day is enough.

  1. Do your daily actions

Log greener habits in the app and earn points.

  2. Do View to Clean

Look at a short advert once a day. The advertiser pays, and that funds ocean plastic removal.

  3. Redeem your points

Turn them into trees planted or ocean plastic removed.

  4. Support a cause

Choose a club, charity, school or group. Part of what advertisers pay goes to them.

Share your code with friends and family and you become a Referrer too.

1. Daily actions

Seven small habits. Do as many or as few as you like, and log on consecutive days to build a streak.

The app always shows the current points and limits for each action.

2. View to Clean

Fund real ocean plastic removal without spending a penny. Advertisers pay for your time, and that money pays for the clean-up. Once a day, up to three steps.

  1. Step 1: View the advert

Three short slides from an advertiser, each on screen for 10 seconds.

  2. Step 2: Visit their website

Only if you want to find out more.

    +30 points+3 bottles removed
  3. Step 3: Subscribe to their emails

Only if you like what you see.

    +50 points+8 bottles removed

Do all three and you fund the removal of 12 bottles’ worth of ocean plastic a day. Every step counts, even if you stop after one.

3. Redeem your points

Complete your profile and we plant a tree for you too.

4. Support a cause

Choose a club, charity, school or community group in the app. Every time you do View to Clean, 20% of what the advertiser pays, after the impact is paid for, goes to them.

  • It costs you nothing. The advertiser pays.
  • Every step you complete counts, not just all three.
  • You can change who you support from month to month.

5. Become a Referrer

Everyone in One Sky has their own code. Share yours with friends and family. When someone joins with your code, you’re who they support until they choose a cause.

Real and estimated impact

Two kinds of figure, and we keep them apart.

  • Real

Trees planted and ocean plastic removed through View to Clean, redeemed points and your profile tree. We pay our impact providers to do this work.

  • Estimated

The carbon dioxide and plastic you avoid through daily actions, based on published averages.

Want to earn faster? An optional Boost plan gives you more points. It doesn’t change how much impact your actions fund.

What could you earn as a Referrer?

Pick the closest fit, then move the sliders. Everyone’s different.

Share of supporters doing each step on an average day

On an average day, how many of them do each step?

  • 50%10 a day · £4.50 a month
  • 15%3 a day · £5.85 a month
  • 3%0.6 a day · £8.10 a month

You could earn

£18.45 a month

£221 over 12 months

And together you remove

10.7 kg a month

of ocean plastic (714 bottles)

An illustration, not a promise. The starting points are guesses, so change them to match yours. Card payment fees of about 1.5% come off when the advertiser pays. Real earnings depend on how many people take part and on advertisers being live in the app.

A few minutes a day adds up. Every action you log earns points you can turn into real change.
